Yes. Being a driver is essential for this position, we provide travel expenses to offset travel costs and we will also help you to claim any applicable tax allowances provided for in law.
Yes. We can assist with the provision of a vehicle and can help you arrange suitable accommodation in the local area and also help get you setup with a bank account.
You should aim to bring at least 4 week’s money to live on, this is approximately £800-1000. You may not use all of it. If you do not have this amount of money available, please do still contact us as we might be able to recruit you via an alternative method.
Possibly. If you are employed by us for less than 3 months you will be expected to contribute a portion towards your initial training costs, this includes any one-to-one coaching you may have had from a senior member of staff.
We will also pay for an NVQ in Health and Social Care to be undertaken (this is a legal requirement of the position), if you leave within 12 months of achieving the NVQ you will be required to pay a portion of the cost back to the company. This is discussed at interview and you may ask further questions about this then.
If you have been a resident in the EU for 3 or more years and we are able to obtain public funding towards your training you will not be charged should you subsequently leave the company at any time.
No. However, see above regarding training costs. In practice, if you do not wish to contribute anything towards your training there is a minimum term of 3 months.
We mainly cover Newbury, Thatcham, Hungerford and surrounding areas, however, we do cover the entire of West Berkshire so we need people that are flexible about travelling as it is a requirement of the role to cover rural areas as well as towns.
We are now starting to service the Hampshire area due to extreme demands. So we are also looking for staff to cover the Hampshire area as well.
It is just not practical for someone in the areas we cover to cycle to deliver care, unless you are in one place for a block of time which unfortunately we cannot guarantee.
Yes. If you are within the EU and have equivalent experience or training you may still apply for the role as the company will provide training and development to fill any gaps in your knowledge and experience, if however you are applying for the position outside the EU you must have an NVQ 3 or equivalent qualification (E.g. Nursing diploma, Nursing Degree, Social Care Diploma and or Social Care Degree) in particular you will need to have a qualification that covers the following areas:
- Pressure Care

- Personal Care
Yes. Any applicants that apply from within the EU do not need a Nursing Degree/Diploma, Social Care Degree/Diploma or equivalent experience (over 3 years experience). Therefore these applicants are eligible to apply for the roles of Trainee Domiciliary Care Assistant, Domiciliary Care Assistant and Senior Domiciliary Care Assistant.
No. Any applicants that apply from outside the EU (e.g. Philippines, America, etc.) must have an NVQ 3 or 3 years experience in a similar role. Therefore these applicants are currently only eligible to apply for the role of a Senior Domiciliary Care Assistant.
