Need Time For Yourself? Respite Care Can Help You Get A Break

respite care, respite services, elderly respite careOur respite care services enables family members or a persons main carer to take a much needed break away from the person they are caring for. Everyone needs to have some personal time for themselves and in care it is no different.

Being someone's main carer family or not can take it's toll on a person, often people think that they are unable to take a break from being the main carer and struggle to get some time for themselves so that they can relax and recharge for a bit.

We understand that it can be difficult to let outsiders come in and provide care for someone that you care for every day of the week, that is why we will work with you in finding the best solution that works for you.

Whether it be one day or three, we want to be able to be there so that you can take a break and know that your loved one's are being taken care of in the same way you do. If you have particular way's of doing daily care we will work to your routines and will only differ if we have to. We understand that people respond better to the routines that they go through on a daily basis and it causes less problems whilst you are taking a break.

Respite care and flexible respite services provides peace of mind..

The respite services that we provide is built on being flexible and meeting people's needs regardless of whether it is for elderly people or young adults. You may put off seeing friends or family members because your worried that you are unable to find a provider that will carry out your routines whilst you are not there, this is understandable.

However, fear not, because Guardian Homecare we're here to help you. We want you to be able to take time off, see your friends and have some YOU time, comfortable in the knowledge that the care being provided is the best possible care that you can get.

Of course we will work to the policies and procedures that we have in place for our staff and service users, we will also build the respite service around your way of doing things for the person that you are caring for and where there are differences we will discuss them with you so you can make informed choices about how you would like to proceed.

If there is hoisting involved it will generally require 2 care workers for transfers as this minimizes health and safety risks, this is something that you will find out about when you discuss your needs with us. Each persons care is individual and will differ from case to case.

Maybe it is just keeping someone company whilst you go out and enjoy a night out with friends or family, whatever the reason we want you to know that there is a provider that can provide respite care services that works with you to ensure that the care that is provided is continuous, reliable and inline with your routines.
